Tablespoon
A tablespoon can be defined two ways as either a medium sized spoon used for:
A tablespoon (abbreviated tbsp) can also be defined as a measure of volume used for cooking. A tablespoon technically measures liquid volume but when used for solids should be measured to the edge of the spoon. For example, if you were measuring two tablespoons of sugar you should pour the sugar into the spoon and then level it off.
Most recipes call for a tablespoon making it an essentially item in any culinary kitchen.
A teaspoon can also be defined in the same manner as a tablespoon. A teaspoon can either be a spoon used for serving or eating or a measure of volume smaller than a tablespoon.
