Serving Bowls - Serving Pieces
A serving bowl is a large bowl used by caterers to serve food out of. The serving bowl could be displayed on a buffet table for guests to help themselves. The serving bowl could also be held by the wait staff as they serve each serving guests at their individual place settings. Serving bowls are helpful because they allow a large amount of food to be displayed for consumption at one time. Serving bowls lessen the amount of time that the wait staff spends running around the venue carting food. A serving bowl could be used for items such as:
- Pasta
- Salad
- Bread
- Soup
Serving pieces are simply large scale utensils used for serving during a catered event. The serving pieces can be used by the wait staff either at the buffet or at an individual place setting. Serving pieces can also be used by guests to serve themselves at a buffet station. Serving pieces are larger so they allow for a larger amount of food to be placed on ones plate at one time. The serving pieces allow guests to be served at a much faster rate as they can receive adequate portions with one helping from a serving piece. Serving pieces are also beneficial because they prevent guests from using their forks or hands to pick up food. If serving utensils have been provided for your guests then they are more likely to use them.
