Round Table - Round Tables

A round table is a circular table used to situate an estimated number of people comfortably at an event. A round table could also be used for a buffet setup, a gift bag or registration table at an event. Round tables have multi-faceted usage but are used in the event planning industry for the seating of adults at an event. Round tables usually have foldable metal legs for easy storage and a sturdy wooden top that is usually covered by a table cloth. Because round tables are often reused time and time again they need to be covered with some sort of fabric before they are used. Round tables come in different sizes and can be obtained in either a:

  • 60 inch
  • 72 inch
  • 90 inch

Each table will seat anywhere from 6-12 people depending on their height and overall size. When deciding which size table to use also keep in mind the need for accompanying place settings, centerpieces and any other table decoration. You should also consider the size of your guests because they should have enough room to sit and eat comfortably. Round tables are the tables most often used at events which require table seating because they can be easily manipulated to fit into any space. They seat a good number of people and allow for the interaction of everyone at the table. Usually, at a round table everyone can see each other and interact at their leisure. The tables can fit closer together without a sense of claustrophobia. Round tables allow the centerpieces to become more of a focus because they are positioned in the center of each table. When your guests walk into the room, the round tables allow your centerpieces to be centered on each table, thus making them immediately standout. If you are having a sit down dining event make sure that your table leave enough room in the event pace for your wait staff to maneuver. The same rule of thumb goes for a buffet situation. Basically, round tables are the most common table used at events, but make sure that you plan ahead to make sure everything works cohesively.
