Pipe and Drape
The term “pipe and drape” refers to the metal framing and colored fabric used to create a sub wall, separation or curtain at an event. Pipe and Drape can be used at any event or venue as decoration or to create separation. Pipe and Drape is probably the most inexpensive and simple way to decorate a venue and is typically used in this capacity for trade shows or other vendor type events. Pipe and Drape is constructed by hanging pieces of colored fabric over a pre-constructed metal framing to create the division. They are very popular at any event which calls for a separation of space. The pipe and drape is pretty portable and several pieces can be hooked together to create different shapes. Pipe and Drape is easy to assemble and disassemble and store as all of the pieces come apart.

Fabric for the drape can be ordered in any color to match the décor of your event and pipe can also be ordered to match the color of the drape to make the set up as inconspicuous as possible. While pipe and drape isn’t typically used in a formal, expensive set up it does get the job done and can at least allow a separation of a big space. Pipe and Drape is usually used as a back drop for step and repeats on the red carpet and could be used to separate different lines at the registration table. If you have some guests who were VIP and others who are not or if you are expecting celebrities who do not wish to be seen, a pipe and drape is an affordable option.
