Production Chef
The Production Chef is a key member of our staff and responsible for the preparation and dispatch of food, which can amount to dozens of events and thousands of guests per week, during our peak seasons.
The ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of managing an extremely busy kitchen that provides high volume off site catering.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Production, staging and dispatch of all Food & Beverage
- Quality assurance
- Management of all kitchen staff, facilities, shipping/receiving, and storage.
- Cleaning and inspecting cooking equipment, kitchen appliance, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Compiling and maintaining records of food use and expenditures.
- Inventory
- Hiring and training of new kitchen personnel.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years as production or kitchen manager in a high volume off-site catering environment.
- Knowledge of food handling, health regulations and FDA laws.
- Must read and write English fluently. Bilingual a plus!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient and organized
- Ability to lead by example
- Works well in the Team Environment.
