Hurricane Vase
A hurricane vase is a clear or colored glass candle holder shaped like a tall bowl. It can also be called a votive candle holder. It is approximately the same size on the bottom as it is on the top but fluctuates in diameter through out the middle. It can be used to hold votive candles in a range of sizes from three to twelve inches depending on the size of the candle holder itself. Some event planners put colored sand in the bottom of the hurricane vases in order to create a really interesting effect. Hurricane vases make great flower vases and can be used to decorate tables. If you choose to use clear glass vases the color of your candles will really stand out. Event planners have been known to decorate the vases with ribbons or other decorative items. Hurricane vases, just like most items, can be found in a wide array of styles and colors and should definitely provide an accent to any venue.
