Candelabra

Candelabra – Candle SticksCandelabra, as referred to in the event planning industry, is a pair or more of decorative candlesticks shaped like a column with several arms for holding candles. Candelabras come in a variety of styles and sizes and are used for the interior and/ or exterior decorating at an event. They are not used as much as they were when electricity was a commodity but nonetheless they add a certain something to the décor of an event. Candelabras look nice instead of churches, temples or any other venue that requires a large amount of candlelight. Candelabras should be displayed on a very sturdy surface to prevent tipping, especially if they are very large and heavy. The candelabra can hold tapers, votives or pillar candles depending on the type and size of the candelabra. A special type of candelabra is a Jewish menorah which holds between seven to nine candles depending on the holiday.Candelabras are also used in weddings when the bride has requested a candle lit ceremony. The use of candelabras prevents the event planner from using multiple candle holders especially if a large number of candles are going to be used. Instead of twenty- five candle holders, the event planner could arrange the décor based on only three or four candelabras which could possibly hold twenty-five candles based on the size of the candelabra. This helps in terms of cleanup because instead of twenty-five candle holders there are only three or four holders and just as many candles. Candelabras are beneficial tools that should be used in the event planning industry because they allow a good amount of candles to be held without an appearance of disorder. Event planners can use candelabras to decorate an entire room with candles yet at the same time maintain a sense of order and design.
