A booster seat is a plastic or wooden seating block, placed on top of a chair for a toddler or small child to sit on in order to elevate them to the height of the table. A booster seat can be used for seating at an event for a child who is too old to sit in a high chair but too small to reach the height of the table. A booster seat can have restraints or not depending on the age of the child. If the parent is not concerned about the child falling from their seat, then a restraint might not be necessary.Booster seats are placed on top of the chair and then the child is placed on top of the booster seat and pushed underneath the table. This process allows for the child to sit with their parents during an event and might lessen the likelihood of spills because the child can easily reach all of the items on the table. A booster seat is typically for children who can feed themselves because they do not come with a tray like high chairs typically do.The booster seat is a great thing to use at events because they are stackable and can be easily stored and retrieved. If you do decide to have children at an adult event it is a good idea to give them their own section complete with children’s tables so that the adults can be free to enjoy themselves. If you do include children mixed in with the adults then use booster seats instead of high chairs as they are incredibly more discrete and easier to maneuver.
