Luau Table
A “luau” is a traditional Hawaiian feast. There can be many variations of tradition depending on the event planner and the needs of the client. When thinking about the items needed for a luau, a table would most likely come to mind.
A luau table is simply a banquet table decorated in a Hawaiian theme for a special event. There isn’t any specific table used for a luau party but the décor is usually centered on bright colors, hula skirts and Hawaiian patterns. A luau table could be wooden or metal and should be covered with some type of table cloth, grass or any other suitable décor. The luau table could be regular table height or abnormally short like traditional Japanese tables made exclusively for kneeling. The table skirt of a luau table could be a grass skirt which would accentuate the Hawaiian theme. The luau table is where the food for the party should be set up. The table itself should be very decorative with bright colors such as blues, greens, pinks and purples and could contain statues or other items. If you are holding a luau in the evening, you should think about tiki torches around the table for light. Tiki torches are in line with the Hawaiian and will allow your guests to see the food that is being served.
