Dance Floor
A dance floor is usually a wooden sub floor placed on top of an existing floor in a venue. The dance floor is used for the dancing portion of an event and is helpful because it:
The dance floor is necessary at a big event that includes dinner and dancing for the comfort of all of your guests. If there isn’t a designated area for dancing, your guests would either be forced to dance at their seats or wouldn’t dance at all. Both options are unacceptable. You want the dancing to occur near the DJ or the band so that those who want to dance can without disturbing the other guests. If there is a set space for “dancing” then people will be more likely to get out there and dance.
Some venues are fearful of shoe marks and scratches being etched on their floors, especially if it is tiled. Dance floors prevent this type of worry, they are portable and rentable so it doesn’t matter how hard people dance or whether or not they scratch the floor. Dance floors come in a variety of shapes and sizes to accommodate any sized venue and can then be hauled away after the event, leaving the original floor in perfect condition. Providing a dance floor for your guests at your event is a good idea aesthetically because it looks very neat and formal. Guests can automatically see the separation between dancing and dining so that there isn’t any confusion. The dance floor allows the disc jockey to interact with the crowd who can immediately sense the mood of the crowd especially if no one is dancing.
