Chair Cover - Chair Covers

When decorating for an event every piece of furniture can be made a part of the décor. Often times, the rented items such as the tables and chairs are in poor visible condition. They might work properly but have scratching and other unsightly marks on them. The tables themselves are covered by a table cloth and the chairs are covered by chair covers and ties, which help to make them a part of the décor. Chair covers actually slip over the entire chair in order to totally conceal it. They fit the chair perfectly and have a distinct place for the person to sit. Chair covers are meant to immediately transform the look and can be made in any:

  • color
  • fabric
  • design and will immediately transform its look

Chair ties are delicately tied bows that can be attached to the back of the chairs to provide uniformity. Again, chair ties can be made in any color, fabric or design to match the scheme of the venue and are a nice addition. At a formal event, it is almost mandatory to have chair covers and/or ties because if you didn’t the chairs would stick out like sore thumbs. Sometimes, chairs are already beautiful which is the case with chiavari styled chairs and do not need to be covered. Ordinary banquet chairs probably do. It really adds an additional touch to the décor and allows the chairs to match the tables. Tables and chairs have to be in a room (unless it is a cocktail party) so you might as well make them as pretty and possible. It helps the coherence of the room if everything is uniform.

Chair covers and ties are used a lot at weddings because it is such a formal event and often times you would want everything in your venue to match in some way. Chair covers can also be used in everyday situations to add a new look to an old piece of furniture. Chair ties are only used on the backs of chairs to add an accent when the chairs themselves have been pushed underneath the tables.
