Blender – Bar Blender
A blender is an electric handled glass or plastic container with metal blades in its bottom center that chops, grinds or blends food items together. The container itself sits on top of a base which when plugged into an electrical outlet activates the metal blades. The base itself has different settings which control the blades such as:
- Chop
- Blend
- Grind
- Pulse
- Liquefy
To use a blender correctly, the user would place the needed food items into the handled container and then put the lid on top of it so that the contents will not splatter. The container itself doesn’t move but the blades rotate at the speed at which you select. Once the container has been secured on top of the base, you would then press the appropriate speed.
You can also change speeds by simply pressing another button. Once the blender is activated the metal blades will begin to spin and you should not take the container off of the base or take the lid off. This could cause the contents of the blender to fly all over the room because of the high speed motion. Higher end blenders typically use a glass container, but plastic is much safer especially during a large event where people could cut themselves if it were to fall. A blender is used to process foods needed for certain recipes, it can also be used to make blended drinks such as smoothies and iced coffee blends.
