Banquet Tables - Banquet Table
Banquet tables are tables rented or bought for an event and used for the buffet, dining, registration and/or gift bag set up. Banquet tables can be made of wood, metal or plastic and their legs usually fold in for easy storage. Event Planners can obtain banquet tables in a number of different sizes and shapes such as:
The shape of the banquet table you wish to use is a very important decision. First, one has to consider the number of guests expected and the amount of space you have to work with. You have to determine which shape and size of table will maximize your space. Secondly, you need to decide how intimate the dining experience should be and therefore, how many tables you will need to seat all of the guests. If you are having a three hundred person event, your set up will be a different design from an intimate wedding reception for twenty five people. The table’s shape and size selection directly relates to the design of the room and your anticipated seating arrangement. Surpentine tables are simply curved banquet tables that can be hooked together to create different shapes. They can be made into circles, ovals, s shapes and other fun shapes. They are interesting to use because they have the ability to make the most of tight spaces.
Banquet tables, no matter their size and shape, are usually covered with an appropriate table cloth and a table skirt. Banquet tables are seldom used without a table cloth because they are not always in the best of shape. Banquet tables, especially the rented ones, have been reused countless times and should be covered because they are often an eyesore- even when brand new. Rectangular banquet tables are usually used for the buffet set up so that food can be served and received from both sides of the table. The arrangement of the tables is something that should be planned ahead of time. You need to actually measure your space to make sure that the size and shape of the tables you wish to use are feasible in that space. You never want to assume and then discover the day of that two of your tables won’t fit.
